RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 21, 2022) – Five Colonial Athletic Association lacrosse programs are ranked or receiving votes in the most recent national polls.

Drexel leads two CAA women’s programs ranked in both polls with the Dragons at No. 15 in both the ILWomen/IWLCA poll and the USA Lacrosse Magazine rankings. Drexel is 3-0 after wins over previously ranked Penn State and Lafayette in Philadelphia last week. The Dragon defense ranks 10^th nationaly at 6.33 goals allowed per game.

James Madison’s win over nationally ranked UConn on Saturday at USA Lacrosse headquarters earned the Dukes a 1-1 week and a standing of No. 18 in the ILWomen/IWLCA rankings and consideration from USA Lacrosse Magazine. JMU’s early season schedule has included No. 2 North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and No. 25/RV UConn.

Delaware keeps its standing of No. 17 in the USILA poll and No. 14 from USA Lacrosse Magazine, while moving up to No. 17 in Inside Lacrosse’s rankings. The Blue Hens are 3-0 on the year and were idle over the weekend after a midweek win in Philadelphia against Saint Joseph’s.

UMass is receiving votes in all three polls after a 10-goal win over UMass Lowell over the weekend in Amherst with a five-point afternoon from Mike Tobin. The Minutemen are 1-1 with the loss a one-goal setback to Army, which is No. 14 in the USILA poll this week.

Drexel earned votes in both media polls despite a defeat in the Dragons’ season opener Saturday. The defending CAA champions received two goals, one assist, and two ground balls from Sean Donnelly in the contest against UMBC.
