What Is The Mann Cup?
The Mann Cup is Canada's national Senior A men's box lacrosse championship. It matches the playoff champion of Ontario's Major Series Lacrosse against the champion of British Columbia's Western Lacrosse Association.
The Mann Cup is a best-of-seven series, meaning the first team to win four games becomes champion. Unlike many North American playoff series, the teams do not alternate between home cities. The championship is staged in one host region, with hosting rotating between Ontario and British Columbia.
Senior A is Canada's elite summer club classification. The Mann Cup is not the championship of the professional National Lacrosse League, but many Senior A stars also have played professionally in the NLL.

The 2026 Mann Cup brings together one of box lacrosse's great championship traditions, recognizable NLL talent and a compelling dynasty-versus-challenger matchup.
Six Nations has won three consecutive Mann Cups, capturing the championship in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Another championship would give the Chiefs four straight and their 10th Mann Cup overall. It also would move the current group beyond the franchise's previous three-peat from 1994-96 and into rare territory among the great indoor Mann Cup dynasties.
Coquitlam arrives with a very different story. The Adanacs are back in the Mann Cup for the first time in 19 years. Their previous appearance came in 2007, and their only Mann Cup championship came in 2001.
There also are plenty of familiar names for NLL fans. Six Nations' group includes Dhane Smith, Josh Byrne, Ian MacKay, Andrew Kew and Lyle Thompson, while Christian Del Bianco and Robert Church are among the notable names for Coquitlam.
The setting adds another layer. Every possible game will be played at Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, putting Six Nations' pursuit of a historic fourth straight championship on its home floor while Coquitlam attempts to end its long Mann Cup absence by dethroning the three-time defending champions.
How Did Six Nations And Coquitlam Reach The Mann Cup?
Six Nations advanced after sweeping Cobourg in the MSL semifinals and defeating Peterborough 4-2 in the MSL final. The Chiefs closed the championship series with a 10-3 Game 6 victory, and Doug Jamieson was named MSL Finals MVP.
Coquitlam advanced through Maple Ridge before defeating the Victoria Shamrocks in six games to win the WLA championship. The victory sends the Adanacs back to Canada's Senior A championship for the first time since 2007.
