All-American Sofia Macaluso Enters Transfer Portal
Sofia Macaluso entered the transfer portal after placing sixth at the 2023 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships as a freshman.
All-American Sofia Macaluso is on the move after her freshman campaign at East Stroudsburg. The Otisville, New York, native placed sixth at the 2023 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships and won a silver medal at the 2022 U20 World Championships.
Her sister, Mia, also wrestled for the team but, for now, has not entered the transfer portal. Both competed at 123 pounds.
East Stroudsburg placed eighth at the NCWWCs with 50 points. Mia scored 23 points and placed third. Sofia scored 10.5 points. The two faced each other in the consolation semifinals and Mia won by fall in 22 seconds.
